XB1 S9 - Championship Sunday Preview

1. KiNG Gaming has some studs.

History was made on Saturday as tjagr and Lockdown became the first teammates in league history to both drop 50 Kills in the same game. Do not brush that off as simply a good outing by the two. They are key components to KiNG's success through the regular season and playoffs. Combine that with MVP finalist GLoso, and the consistent Snickerz; and you have an almost unbeatable team.

2. Enigma eSports Has Been Here Before.

In the Losers Bracket Finals last season, Sloth found himself in a similar situation as he is in now- in the Losers Bracket Finals vs the previous season's runner ups; and the eventual champions that season in Trauma Gaming. His team would eventually go on to lose 1-3 and place third. This season, he faces BiT; a team fresh off of eliminating last season's champions. However, his team is better and more suited to handle this situation than last season's team was. Time will tell if his team can overcome the third place hurdle.

3. BiT eSports Won't Go Down Easy

Back in Town eSports has truly been the shock of these playoffs. They placed 10th last season under Chaos Black, and appeared to be a few pieces away from truly contending. However, this season they've taken up the mantra, "Keep The Dream Alive", and have continuously lived up to it by showing another gear when all hope seems lost in elimination games. From rallying from a 4-5 S&D deficit vs Blackout Rising; to shutting down a crucial final minute Uplink drive by Trauma Gaming, BiT has a knack for winning the important ones. MVP finalist Ruthless is the heart of this team, as it seems as if he is in contention to drop 50 kills every respawn. Intruhs is an absolute monster when it comes to S&D, and having Nitroskull and Epidemic can cause headaches to opposing teams with their antics. This team is definitely a contender.
