Due to the amount of money raised for the prize pool, along with the highest number of teams in one season in league history, the CACL has a plan to end this game with a bang.

The Call of Duty Amateur Competitive League (CACL) will be taking it back to its earlier seasons, as the confirmed regular season format for Summer 2020 hosts eight groups of four teams, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for a 16-team playoff tournament. "The plan is to give it a sort of CoD Champs feel. We have the teams and money. Why not make it exciting," says league admin Alex Peterson, who is in charge of creating and making changes to the league's regular season, playoffs, and wildcard structure.

While the exact amount is not confirmed, the league is also in discussions regarding the prize pool breakdown. Specifically, they are thinking about paying out prize money to the final four teams in the playoffs. "We've never done this before, which makes it so exciting. It gives teams something to keep fighting for. Would you rather place fourth and make near $100 for your hard work, or make nothing," asks Peterson. League owner and founder John Ice noted the concerns that some top teams may have, as it could potentially take away a portion of the final two team's earnings. "We definitely do not want to make it look like we're giving away participation trophies. Fourth place is going to make the bottom of the prize money, while the teams in the final series will make the bulk. We might only do top three gets paid if we feel fourth place is taking too much away from our best competitors."

After the conclusion of three successful leagues in this CoD's season, the Summer 2020 season will officially end the Call of Duty Amateur Competitive League's Modern Warfare league series. With around $1,400 distributed in prize money throughout this competitive season so far, the CACL will have paid around $2,300 in Modern Warfare (MW) alone when the Summer ends. The CACL will have officially paid out a bit over $4,000 in prize money since it started doing so in Infinite Warfare, where the prize was $300.

Unsurprisingly, the final MW league has reached some milestones due to the CACL's success and soaring popularity this year. This will be the first time the league hosts 32 teams, as the previous record amount of teams was 28 in the Winter 2019 season. This will also be the first time the league will have a $900 prize pool. As the end of this title's competitive season is just around the corner with champs in a few weeks, it's safe to believe that this can be the best season that the league has ever had in terms of competitiveness, as most teams will be at their peak level of performance with plenty to play for.

With all 32 teams sitting at a blank record, they all have the same chance to win it all. It's time to see who can separate themselves and come out on top as the CACL's MW Champion.
